FUTURE WEEKS

CENTENARY UNITED METHODIST CHURCH COMMUNITY MEAL - Trinity will provide food for and serve at the Centenary United Methodist Church community meal in Lambertville on Wednesday, March 17th.  Volunteers are needed as follows: (1) 4-6 servers set up for the meal, serve and eat with the guests and clean up, between 10:00 and 2:00; and (2) at least 12 cooks prepare casseroles and two make sandwiches for the meal.  The food should be delivered to Trinity not later than the Tuesday evening before the meal.  Those interested in helping should get in touch with Peter Oliver

TRINITY BOOK CLUB - On March 17th we will take on "The True and Outstanding Adventures of the Hunt Sisters" by Elisabeth Robinson.  The central story in Elisabeth Robinson's debut novel is that of Olivia and Madeline. Though the sisters are very different, Madeline's illness causes Olivia to reassess their relationship. Madeline has always been critical of her older sister and ready with unwanted advice. But her cancer changes everything.  Robinson shines, however, in capturing the conflicts and heartbreak of a family dealing with a loved one's illness. Her characters feel the most real, the most honest, here.  Overall, Robinson's novel is a promising debut, full of humor and honesty.  Olivia Hunt's story is one of relationships and self-understanding --- and Robinson is brave enough to give the reader both a happy and a sad ending.  Mark you calendars and plan on attending.  We will be meeting at my home, March 17, at 7:00PM.  We look forward to seeing you.  If you plan on attending please let me know and I will send directions. Bernadette Gross.
